We are pleased to announce the release of cfMesh 1.2, a major update that introduces an integrated graphical user interface (GUI), designed to simplify and accelerate meshing workflows for OpenFOAM users. Additionally, existing command‑line operations continue to function as before.
Enhanced User Experience Through cfMesh GUI Integration
The new GUI provides an intuitive environment for configuring meshing cases, reducing manual setup time and enabling users to navigate complex workflows more efficiently. Furthermore, all core functionalities previously available through the command line are now accessible via the interface, ensuring seamless transition between scripted and interactive workflows.
Key Technical Improvements in cfMesh 1.2
- GUI‑based workflow configuration for faster and more intuitive case setup
- Additional mesh‑quality optimization controls, enabling finer tuning of feature size, refinement regions, and surface preparation

Training Sessions at the OpenFOAM Workshop in Guimarães
As a Silver Sponsor of the OpenFOAM Workshop in Guimarães, our team will deliver two technical sessions focused on cfMesh, CF‑MESH+, and advanced automated meshing workflows. Do not forget to add these dates to your calendar:
July 1 — cfMesh & CF‑MESH+ Training
Instructor: Ivan Poljak Topic: Best Meshing Practices in cfMesh and CF‑MESH+ Time: 16:40 Room: P1
July 3 — Automated Meshing Workflows for OpenFOAM
Presenter: Ivan Oremović Topic: Robust Automated Meshing Workflows for OpenFOAM: Feature Size, Boundary Layers & Multi‑Domain Challenges Time: 11:40 Room: P1
These sessions offer participants the opportunity to explore the new cfMesh 1.2 GUI, learn best practices directly from our developers, and gain insights into advanced meshing strategies for complex OpenFOAM cases.
If you are having more complex problems, we suggest you to try out our commercial CF-MESH+. Additionally, you can also subscribe to our newsletter to stay informed on our newest developments.
